If I was a kid, and had found chess... I would be a total weird adult with no friends and a hunger to just prove myself on the board again and again. It's so fucking immersive, lately it's been making my reading take a backseat. And if I were actually good, I can totally imagine having zero social skills and random arrogance. But man, it's so easy to just fall down that rabbit hole and just never want to get back up. Guess I have an addictive personality when it comes to things that fascinate me. Need to have checks and balances in place so it doesn't take over everything.
